Position: Project Sales Executive - Exhibition Division

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Project Sales Executive – Exhibition Division to join our team. The Project Sales Executive will play a crucial role in driving sales for our exhibitions, generating revenue, and maximising opportunities for growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for sales, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in the exhibitions and event industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Generation:

  • Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities for our exhibitions, including selling exhibition booth space and sponsorships
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives to provide tailored solutions.
  • Utilise a variety of sales techniques, including cold calling, networking, and client meetings, to generate leads and close sales.
  • Collect payments from clients in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to payment terms and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, consistently delivering high-quality results.

2. Client Management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing information, and offering ongoing support throughout the sales process.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and logistics, to coordinate client requirements and ensure seamless execution of exhibitions.

3. Project Planning and Development:

  • Collaborate with the project management team in the planning and development stage of exhibition projects.
  • Provide input on sales strategies and target markets based on market research and client feedback.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between sales objectives and project goals.
  • Assist in the development of sales collateral, promotional materials, and presentations to support sales efforts.

4. Operational and Logistic Support:

  • Provide operational and logistic support during the pre-exhibition, exhibition, and tear-down phases.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery and setup of exhibition booths and materials.
  • Assist with on-site coordination, including managing vendor relationships, resolving logistical issues, and ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to address any logistical challenges and
    ensure the successful execution of the event.

5. Collaborative Teamwork:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to support overall business objectives and ensure the successful delivery of exhibitions.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategy discussions, contributing valuable insights and ideas to drive innovation and growth.

Requirement:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience with a proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the events, exhibitions, or related industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence others effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to communicate proficiently in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
  • Experience in sales within the service or exhibition industry is advantageous.
